MSA Compatible 200G to 4x50G AOC Cable(QSFP56 to 4xQSFP56, OM3/OM4/OM5)

The 200G QSFP56 to 4x50G QSFP56 active optical cable adopts 4x50Gb/s PAM4 modulation and supports reaching up to 100m data transmission. The cable assemblies on both ends have uncooled 850nm VCSEL array and PIN photo detector array. The AOC cable complies with IEEE 802.3cd, QSFP-MSA and 200GBASE-SR4 specifications. The hot pluggable cable supports One side of it features a 200GbE connector, while the other four sides include four separate 50GbE connectors. The cable sends each pair of data signals to the four pairs on each QSFP56 multiport end via the four MMF (Multi-Mode Fiber) pairs on the single QSFP56 end. The 200G end has a typical power dissipation of less than 5 Watts and the 50G end less than 4.5W. The AOC splitter cable has a single 3.3V power supply, an operating temperature range of 0 to +70ºC, and built-in diagnostic features. The active optical cable uses the I2C management interface to provide high-performance interconnects. The AOC cable is designed for HPCs, e-commerce, and AI/ML computing center applications.

Questions & Answers

What is a 200G QSFP56 to 4x50G QSFP56 Active Optical Cable?
Designed to offer 200G data transmission from one 200G device to four 50G devices. A 4x50G breakout active optical cable connected across short to medium distances, on one end has a 200G QSFP56 connector, and the other end has four separate 50G QSFP56 connectors.

What are the main benefits of using a 200G QSFP56 to 4x50G AOC?
This AOC offers more flexible and scalable connectivity for multi-device setups. Using a single cable to connect multiple devices, you can reduce cable clutter and simplify network configurations, ideal for dense data center environments.

What applications are ideal for the 200G QSFP56 to 4x50G AOC?
Interconnecting multiple network devices such as servers, storage systems, and switches in a compactway, such as data centers, HPCs, E-commerce, and cloud infrastructures.

How does a 200G QSFP56 to 4x50G AOC compare to traditional copper cables?
The optical cable can provide longer transmission distances than copper cables. The optical cable reduce the linklihood of signal loss or degradation over distance compared to copper cables. The optical cable is immune to electromagnetic interference(EMI).
