The transmission data rate supported by each channel of the 400G QSFP112 AOC cable is 106.25 Gbps. It complies with CMIS, IEEE 802.3db, and IEEE 802.3ck standards. The QSFP112 MSA standard is met by the hot-pluggable QSFP112 form factor. With four 106.25Gbps transmit and receive channels per OSFP-RHS port, each may operate with 106.25Gb/s PAM4 for a total data throughput of 425Gb/s.
The active optical cable has a 4-channel 850nm VCSEL array and a 4-channel PIN photo detector array. The I2C management interface specified by CMIS is used by the AOC cable to allow digital diagnostics functionalities. On OM3 and OM4 with FEC, the maximum data transmission distances are 30 and 50 meters, respectively. For high-performance video and media streaming systems, the AOC cable is perfect.
