Questions & Answers
What is a 400G QSFP-DD to 8xSFP56 Active Optical Cable (AOC)?
A 400G QSFP-DD to 8xSFP56 AOC is a high-density breakout cable that converts one 400G QSFP-DD port into eight 50G SFP56 ports.
What is the maximum transmission of 400G QSFP112 to OSFP-RHS AOC?
The cable allows for a maximum link length of 30 meters on OM3 Multimode Fibre (MMF) and 50 meters on OM4 MMF with FEC enabled. The available lengths are 1m, 5m, 7m, 20m, 30m, and 50m.
What are the requirements and certifications that this AOC cable meets?
The cable conforms with:
-
IEEE 802.3db, 400GBASE-VR4 Ethernet (PAM4)
-
OSFP and QSFP112 MSA specification
-
CMIS4.0
-
RoHS specifications (lead-free)
What is the data rate for each channel?
Using PAM4 modulation, each channel may transmit data at up to 106.25Gbps, with four separate channels totaling 425Gbps.
Is this AOC cable compatible with the current network infrastructure?
The cable is designed to work with Ethernet, Telecom, and Infiniband applications. It meets the IEEE 802.3db, IEEE 802.3ck, and OSFP & QSFP112 MSA requirements, making it appropriate for switches, routers, and other network equipment.
