100GBASE ER4 QSFP28 Transceiver Module (100GE/OTU4, LAN WDM, 40km, SMF)
100GBASE ER4 QSFP28 Transceiver Module (100GE/OTU4, LAN WDM, 40km, SMF)
The 100Gbps QSFP28-ER4 transceiver module is compliant with the 100GBASE-ER4 standards. Maximum reach distance is linked up to 40km over single-mode fiber. The 100G ER4 transceiver supports real-time digital diagnostic monitoring of various parameters related to the transceiver’s performance and the optical link. This transceiver converts four input channels of 25Gb/s electrical data into four channels of LAN-WDM optical signals, subsequently multiplexing them into a unified 100Gb/s optical stream for transmission. On the receiving end, it adeptly de-multiplexes a 100Gb/s optical input back into four individual channels of LAN-WDM optical signals. This optical module meets the 100GbE IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-ER4 and ITU-T G.959.1 OTU4 (4L1-9C1F) standards.

FAQ
What is QSFP28 ER4?
The QSFP28 ER4 optical transmitter follows the ER4 (Extended Reach 4-lane) standard. Its 100 Gbps data transmission over four bands on a single fiber pair makes it appropriate for 40-kilometer distances.
The meaning of ER4?
ER4 (Extended Range 4-lane)transceivers transmit data over four separate wavelengths. Because of its long-range transmit distance, suitable for connecting distant networks without signal amplification.
How far transmit distance does the 100G ER4 module have?
Data may be transmitted up to 40 kilometers, ideal for long-distance connections between different campuses or across metropolitan areas.
Can 100G ER4 1310nm 40km Transceivers be used on 20 or 30km links?
The 100G ER4 1310nm 40km transceivers can handle 20km or 30km lines. The receiver may work at any distance up to 40 km, providing network designers with several possibilities.
