The 200G (4x56G) QSFP56 PAM4 to 200G (4x56G) QSFP56 PAM4 active electrical cable is designed for rack-to-rack connectivity and supports reaching up to 7m data transmission. The AEC cable complies with SFF-8636 and SNIA SFF-8679 QSFP28 electrical specifications. It adopts the standard QSFP-DD type 2 form factor and complies with MSA specifications. The hot pluggable cable supports bidirectional 200Gbps data transmission per cable. The cable provides a 4 x 56G PAM4 signal in each direction. The typical power dissipation on each end is 4.5 Watts, a single 3.3V power supply, an operating case temperature range of 0 to +70ºC, and built-in diagnostic features. The active electrical cable realizes high-performance interconnects through the I2C management interface.
The AEC cable is ideal for telecom and data center applications. It consumes up to 25% less power than the AOC cable and 75% less volume than the DAC cable. The AECs offer 10 years of service life.
