MSA Compatible AEC Cable 400G (8x56G) QSFP-DD PAM4 to 400G (8x56G) QSFP-DD PAM4

The active electrical cable data rate is 400G (8x56G) QSFP-DD to 400G (8x56G) QSFP-DD. The hot pluggable electrical cable supports bidirectional 400Gbps data transmission per cable. It can connect and communicate data over short distances with multiple lanes. The AEC cable provides an 8 x 56G PAM4 signal in each direction. The typical power consumption on each end is 4.5W, a single 3.3V power supply, and built-in diagnostic features. The active electrical cable complies with QSFP-DD MSA, RoHS2, and CMIS v3.0 v4.0. This I2C management interface ensures high-reliability interconnects through comprehensive monitoring, configuration, etc.
The active electrical cable is designed for telecom and data center interconnects. It can replace backplanes in Distributed, Disaggregated Chassis(DDC) implementations. AECs consume up to 50% less power than Active Optical Cables (AOCs) and take 75% less volume than Direct Attach Cables (DACs). These innovative features enable interconnection densities of up to 500 cables per rack.

Questions & Answers

What is an AEC cable?
An Active Electrical Cable (AEC) is a high-speed copper cable with integrated electronics that extends the reach and performance of high-speed data transmission compared to traditional Direct Attach Cables (DACs).

How can I troubleshoot common issues with AEC cables?
Use diagnostic tools to identify issues like signal integrity problems or power supply failures.

What are the typical transmission speeds and distances supported by AEC cables?
AEC cables support speeds up to 1.6T and distances of 2.5 meters.
