MSA Compatible AEC Cable 400G (8x56G) QSFP56 PAM4 to 400G (4x112G) OSFP-RHS PAM4
The 400G active electrical cable data rate is 400G (8x56G) QSFP-DD PAM4 to 400G (4x112G) OSFP-RHS PAM4. The hot pluggable cable offers bidirectional 400Gbps data transmission per cable. The AEC cable provides 8 lanes of 56G PAM4 signal at the switch side and 4 lanes of 112G PAM4 signal at the NIC side. The typical power consumption at the QSFP-DD end is 10 Watts, and at the OSFP-RHS end is 6 Watts. The cable complies with QSFP-DD MSA, OSFP MSA, and CMIS v5.0 specifications. The I2C management interface ensures high-reliability interconnects through comprehensive monitoring, configuration, etc.
The active electrical cable adopts thinner copper cables without any optical component. The AECs can provide a cost-effective alternative to active optical cables (AOCs) for TOR switch downlink (up to 400Gbps). It is ideal for hyper-scale data centers, HPCs, and AI applications.
