MSA Compatible 800G OSFP DR8 Optical Transceiver Module (SMF 1310nm, 500m, PAM4, MPO-16 )
MSA Compatible 800G OSFP DR8 Optical Transceiver Module (SMF 1310nm, 500m, PAM4, MPO-16 )
The 800G OSFP transceiver is able to support 8×106.25Gbps (total 8×106.25Gbps) data rates by using 53.125GBd PAM4 optical and electrical interfaces that allow seamless transmission of huge data volumes over large distances. It was designed to work with 500 meters data transmission systems that are used in the modern day data center. It utilizes the most strong DSP chip that delivers unbeatable performance and efficacy. The DR8 OSFP optical module can achieve a maximum distance of up to 500 meters using SMF with KP-FEC (Forward Error Correction), making it perfect for long-haul data center interconnects. Integrates with CMIS-compliant management systems to provide live monitoring and control. This transceiver is an innovative solution for high-speed connectivity with long-range in cloud fabrics, data centers, and AI infrastructure.

Questions & Answers
What is an OSFP transceiver module?
An OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) transceiver module is a high-speed optical transceiver designed for data centers.
Optical transceiver silicon photonics means what?
Silicon photonics supports a new approach to building optical modules. Silicon photonics integrates the essential optical components onto silicon chips, similar to how electronic circuits are built. By well-established and cost-effective silicon chip manufacturing processes, silicon photonics enables the production of more affordable optical transceivers. Silicon photonics allow for closer integration of optical components with electronic circuitry on the same chip. This improves overall performance and reduces signal loss with the transceiver.
What are common types of 800G optical transceivers?
OSFP (Octal Small Form Factor Pluggable) transceiver modules designed for long-distance data transmission over metropolitan and wide-area networks.
QSFP-DD (Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable Double Density) transceiver modules designed for connecting different parts of a campus or large building.
