MSA Compatible 800GBASE 2SR4 QSFP-DD Optical Transceiver Module (850nm, 100m, Dual MPO12/APC, DDM, MMF)
MSA Compatible 800GBASE 2SR4 QSFP-DD Optical Transceiver Module (850nm, 100m, Dual MPO12/APC, DDM, MMF)
The 800GBASE-2SR4 optical transceiver module has a hot-pluggable QSFP-DD form factor with a dual MPO12 APC connector to simplify network integration and maintenance. It is an eight-channel optical transceiver module for 800 Gigabit Ethernet. This QSFP-DD 2SR4 module adopts 8 channels of 100G-PAM4 electrical and optical parallel lanes. It is CMIS-compliant, enabling host software to read and control transceiver status via I2C. for short-range multi-lane data transmission. The maximum transmission distance is 100m on OM4 or OM5 with Forward Error Correction(FEC). The energy-efficient 800G optical transceiver module consumes less than 14W. Many versatile deployment options include 1x800G SR8, 2x400G SR4, 2x200G SR4 breakout, and 8x100G SR, breakout connections. This module has built-in digital diagnostics functions that monitor performance reliability. It can be used in low latency, high bandwidth network applications like AI data centers, edge computing, LLMs, Computer Vision, etc.

Questions & Answers
What is an 800G QSFP-DD 2SR4 optical transceiver module?
Using OM4/OM5, an 800G QSFP-DD 2SR4 optical transceiver module can transfer data at 800 gigabits per second over 100m. Data centers and high-performance computer networks employ this compact, hot-pluggable module to manage huge volumes of data.
What is the optical module common applications?
- 1x800G SR8 application case 1, 1 of 800G per port point-to-point connection.
- 2x400G SR4 application case 2, 2 sets of 400G per port breakout connections.
- 2x200G SR4 application case 3, 2 sets of 200G per port breakout connectors.
- 8x100G SR application case 4, 8 of 100G per channel breakout connections.
The mixed applications of case 2 and case 4 are also supported.
What are common types of 800G optical transceivers?
QSFP-DD (Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable Double Density) transceiver modules designed for connecting different parts of a campus or large building.
OSFP (Octal Small Form Factor Pluggable) transceiver modules are designed for long-distance data transmission over metropolitan and wide-area networks.
