The CX102S-16GT-M-SWP is a 16-port gigabit POE+ switch with 16×10/100/1000BASE-T ports and 2x10G SFP+ ports. It supports up to 8-port 30W PoE+ or 60W PoE++ for devices like IP phones and wireless access points. Powered by the preloaded turnkey enterprise SONiC software, AsterNOS, the PoE+ 16-port gigabit switch offers robust networking functionalities. It supports standard Layer 2 and Layer 3 operations for IPv4 and IPv6, alongside advanced security features such as ACL and 802.1x authentication. Additionally, it includes routing protocols like OSPF and BGP, making it a versatile solution for various network environments.
Including MC-LAG and VxLAN features makes the 16-port 1Gb switch ideal for building scalable and resilient campus networks, catering to SMBs and enterprise networks. These features ensure high availability and efficient network virtualization, enhancing the overall network performance.
With optional modules, 16 port PoE+ switches deliver SyncE and high-accuracy one-step and two-step PTP features, further ushering in network deployments that require precise time synchronization like HD video processing systems, power systems, and automotive industries.

Enterprise SONiC 16-port Gigabit Layer2/3 Switches with PTP Support(Optional)
Currently, the CX102S-16GT-M-SWP layer 2 and layer 3 access switches offer support for the IEEE1588 PTPv2 standard through both hardware and software. The hardware port offers full support for PTP and can be used as boundary clock(BC) or Transparent clock (TC). The module can be flexibly disassembled based on customer requirements.
On the software side, Asterfusion leads the community in implementing the PTP function in SONiC and optimizing its performance on our Enterprise SONiC Distribution –AsterNOS. By utilizing hardware acceleration and software algorithm optimization, the PTP protocol achieves a synchronization deviation of only 10ns, significantly enhancing speed and stability in protocol interaction. Additionally, interoperability is greatly improved as it supports configurations such as restAPI, RestConf, Netconf, and CLI.
CX102S-16GT-DPU-M-SWP offers the flexibility of adding up to two Marvell Octeon 4-core ARM64 DPUs.
-
Customers have the option to pre-install OpenWRT, which can function as a router or a firewall.
-
Alternatively, they can choose to install an OpenWiFi controller to manage their WLAN network.
-
It’s also possible to leave it blank and use pure Linux, allowing customers to run specific applications of their choice, such as management tools or a radius server.
